From an early age, Dennis has chased whitetails around the country. Dennis and Susan met in 1973 and married two years later. It didn't take long before Susan was also hooked on the outdoors and they began hunting together. Hunting throughout the US and Canada, they had their first contact with preserves and truly huge whitetails in 1998. In less than five minutes, Dennis and Susan were hooked.
After six years of visiting and hunting the finest facilities in the country, they acquired what was to become Bent Pine Ranch, LLC and Bent Pine Whitetails. During the first year, they relied primarily on artificial insemination with notable success. Today, Bent Pine Whitetails has grown into a first class breeding facility with the finest genetics the industry has to offer. In 2007, fawn’s sires averaged 344 inches and the mothers averaged 274 inches. In the next two years, these averages are expected to increase considerably.
